JAZZDANCE, High Heels and Business Theory
Sonia Bartuccelli

From the ballet halls of classical academies, her path initially led her to the renowned Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. After graduating, she moved abroad where she studied various styles in the USA at the Broadway Dance Centre in NYC and at The Edge in LA.

As a freelancer she has been on stage with national and international acts and artists (e.g. Cheryl Cole, David Garrett, Helene Fischer, Lou Bega, Udo Lindenberg, etc.) and participated in countless productions in the field of corporate events (Breitling, BMW, Airbus, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, etc.) and in TV shows (X- Factor, Let’s Dance, ECHO, Dance Dance Dance, Golden Camera, etc.).

CHOREOGRAPHY
PATRICK SPERL

Patrick is originally from Mannheim, Germany, where he started dancing at the age of 7. He started in Hip Hop and later expanded his knowledge with Jazz, Modern, Ballet and Contemporary by completing an education as a stage dancer, dance teacher and choreographer at Dance Professional Mannheim. In addition to teaching, he has been on stage for many different TV productions, including Mariah Carey in Shanghai, Germany’s Next Topmodel, Got to Dance, etc. After dancing for a year in New Zealand for Royal Family under the direction of Parris Goebel, he moved to Berlin in 2019 and wants to share his knowledge here.

BALLETT
Aya Nagakawa
Aya started classical ballet at the age of five and trained at the Conservatory of Dance in Japan until 2013. From 2013 to 2016 she studied classical ballet, contemporary dance and choreography at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London, where she completed her BA (Hons). Aya has also participated in the Dance Certificate at the Studio29 House of Performing Arts to gain further dance skills such as hip-hop, high heels, commercial dance, jazz, contemporary fusion, etc. She is currently working successfully as a freelance ballet and contemporary dancer for theatre and film productions. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, Aya teaches basic & intermediate Ballet at Studio29.
COMMERCIAL STYLE
Helen Schmiedle

Helen studied 3 years at the stately acknowledged vocational school for contemporary dance „Balance 1“ in Berlin / diploma received September 2020 including training in:
→Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, acting, dance theory, dance history and anatomy.

She continued to study Hip Hop and Commercial scene all over the country.

Helen had the opportunity to dance for music artistis like, Cool Savas, Rola, Scooter and many more.

She also danced for brands like Nike and Fila x Leni Klum.

Currentley she teaches at Balance1 and Studio29 Commercial Dance.

Jazz Dance
Quincy Junor

Quincy A. Junor (Brooklyn, New York), was born in Georgetown, Guyana and started his training under the direction of his mentor Gloria E. Moylan. He is a graduate of F. H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts(The Fame School) and holds a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. He has attended Brooklyn Music School, The Ailey School, and Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School–all on full scholarship. Mr. Junor has been awarded the Dr. Marvin & Carol Eiger scholarship in Dance and is a Richard & Mica Hadar Scholar in Dance. In 2002 & 2003, he was a finalist in the National Fine Arts Competition for Liturgical Dance. In 2004, he was the recipient of the National YoungArts Foundation award in choreography for his work The Chase. He has choreographed for Genesis Dance Company, Purchase Repertory Theatre’s production of Derek Walcott’s The Odyssey, and for the Neuberger Museum of Art, and was the Resident Choreographer for Teatromania Acting Company from 2004-2007. Mr. Junor was invited to perform Mark Morris‘ Gloria and Lauri Stalling’s The Great Quiet at The Kennedy Center and at the Hong Kong International Dance Festival, along with the Purchase Dance Corps. He has also performed for Dove, Stellar, and Grammy Award winning Gospel Artists Alvin Slaughter and Dr. Pastor Marvin Sapp. Mr. Junor has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Pat Catterson, Patricia Dye, Troy Powell, Kevin Wynn and Nathan Trice. He has also performed for Errol Grimes Dance Group and Lane & Co. and was a member of Genesis Dance Company, SYREN Modern Dance and Riedel Dance Theatre.

Mr. Junor has gone on to become Choreographic Assistant, Dance Captain and Dancer for choreographer Jeremy Wade for rock electric singer Peaches, for her musical and film productions of Peaches Does Herself at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Dancer and Dance Captain for Peaches in her one woman show Peaches Christ Superstar North America and Canada Tour, and appeared as a Guest Artist for Nature Theatre of Oklahoma’s Life & Time directed by Pavel Liska & Kelly Copper incorporation with the Berliner Festspiele/Foreign Affairs & HAU Hebbel am Ufer. Some of his TV credits includes the hit TV series Babylon Berlin(Season 1, Episode 5) choreographed by Julia Fidel and Nasser Martin-Gousset and directed by Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries, & Hendrik Handloegten, Season 2, Episode 1 of Berlin Station with choreography by Julia Fidel, all as a featured dancer. Most recently, he can be seen in MEDION Electronics commercial produced by Lovestone Film GmbH, the Deutsche Bahn commercial directed by Hanna Maria Heidrich with choreography by Litza Bixler with retired Formula One racing driver and the 2016 Formula One World Champion Nico Rosberg and singer- songwriter Iggy Pop and in the Make Believe music video by German recording artist Mignon Baer.

URBAN DANCE
Various teachers

Hip hop is a popular style of dance that is performed at dance competitions and in music videos all over the world. It began on the streets of New York City, and has shifted over the last few decades to include new kinds of moves and styles.

In the Advanced Dance Program we invite various hip hop teachers who have a great knowledge of the culture and bring it closer to our students. Everyone has their own touch and teaches hip hop with different approaches.
Contemporary
Cristiana Casadio

After a professional rhythmic gymnastics career, Cristiana continued the study of ballet and contemporary dance. She was selected to join as a trainee the Aterballetto Company, directed by Mauro Bigonzetti and received several scholarships (eg. at “Merce Cunninghum Studio” ,”Peridance Center”, in New York,..).

She joined Enzo Celli’s “Botega” Dance Company (IT), J.K.Tyl Theater Pilsen (CZ) and , for nine years, Balletto dell’Esperia (Turin,IT) directed by Paolo Mohovich, dancing principal roles.
Since 2010 Cristiana has been based in Berlin, taking part in different productions and projects as a dancer and as choreographer. Among others, in 2018 she worked (as a dancer and choreographer) for the Berliner Ensemble, in “Menschen, Orte und Dinge” . She collaborates with several international artists, from different disciplines and presents her own work in international theaters and festivals.

In particular her piece “Tangram” has been shortlisted for the “Total Theatre Award” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, won the first prize for performing arts at the “Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg” and toured in 18 different countries.

Jazz Dance & Theatre Styles
Dolan José

Dolan José wurde auf den Philippinen geboren und wuchs in Vancouver, Kanada auf. Durch ein volles Stipendium am EDGE Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, studierte er sowohl Gesang, Tanz, als auch Schauspiel.

José tanzte für zahlreiche Künstler wie “Salt n’ Pepa“ in dem Hollywood-Film „Stay Tuned!“ und dem Musikvideo „Start Me Up“. Unter anderem auch für Ex-No-Angel, Vanessa in „Drama Queen“, für Natasha Thomas in „Save Your Kisses“ , für Frankee in „F*** You Right Back“ und viele mehr. Außerdem performte er bei Shows wie „Wetten Dass…?“, „Top Of The Pops“, „Viva Interaktiv“, „McChart Show“, „The Dome“, „Immerwieder Sonntags“ im ARD und „Fernsehgarten“ im ZDF. José spielte auch kleine Fernsehrollen. Wie zum Beispiel in „Booker“, „21 Jump Street“ und „The Black Stallion Returns“.

Dolan José began in Canada für CBC und CTV zu choreografieren. In Deutschland inszenierte er die Performance von Otto Waalkes, „Sieben Zwerge“ für „Top Of The Pops“, für Diesel und Mister&Lady Jeans, den Spielfilm „Männerherzen II“, für „Bringing Down The Moon“ von Joana Zimmer und er schulte Clemens Schick und choreografierte ihm die Eröffnung der „New Faces Awards“ in Berlin. Ebenso choreografierte José für sämtliche Künstler wie Michelle Hunziker, Mariella Ahrens, Ex-No-Angel, LucyDiakovska, Kate Hall, Samantha Fox, Right Said Fred, Sydney Youngblood und Belinda Carlisle in „ABBA MANIA“ auf RTL II. Choreografiert hat er außerdem folgende Promotionen fürs LIVE-Fernsehn: „Dirty Dancing“ bei der „Carmen Nebel Show“, „Hinterm Horizont“ in „Goldene Henne“, Joana Zimmer für „José Carerras Gala“ und „Musik Für Sie“ auf MDR. Er arbeitete mit angesehenen Regesseuren wie zum Beispiel Pit Weyrich und Joachim Jänkel. José choreografierte auch für ARTE den Kurzfilm „Habe Keine Angst Mein Herz“, unter der Regie und geschrieben von Aleksandar Jovanovic.
